Balm To The Soul
I look at the factors that affect your overall health, including my passion of energy healing, as well as physical, emotional and spiritual factors. This includes community and the importance of being connected, finding your passion and life purpose, and expressing yourself creatively. My mission is to show all the elements that contribute to your overall health and wellbeing.
My passion is one small part of that - energy healing. If you are not looking after your energy field, then you are missing a big piece of the puzzle which is our overall holistic health. If you upgrade your energy, you upgrade your life.
When we consistently look at, clean and expand our energy fields through these different processes, we are able to achieve better balance on all levels - that is mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. When our energy is clean and clear we feel more centred, joyful and focused.
Sometimes it can be very confusing as to where to start, so this podcast is about looking at the options out there. What can I try? What will it help me with? Where could it lead me?

A Guided Somatic Coaching Session with Natasha Ramlall
This episode is only available to subscribers.
Balm To The Soul - Energy Healing to soothe mind +
Exclusive access to premium content!Your body tells the truth long before your mind finds the words. We sit down with Natasha Ramlall for a subscriber-only, real-time embodied integration coaching session, so you can hear exactly how somatic coaching works when you’re feeling anxious, stuck, or oddly “floaty” in your life. We start with the basics: getting comfortable, letting silence do its job, and using breath as a practical way to come back into the present moment.
As the session deepens, jaw and throat tightness open into a clear nervous system story: shallow breathing, old anxiety stored in the body, and the instinct to brace for impact when life feels uncertain. We follow the sensations rather than forcing a breakthrough, using curiosity, imagery, and gentle acceptance to reduce resistance. Along the way, a hidden pressure surfaces: the need to “figure it out” to avoid feeling inferior, and how comparison can quietly hijack your sense of purpose.
We also keep it grounded and usable. Natasha shares ways to build safety through visualisation and self-touch, then we explore how to balance feminine flow with a simple masculine container. If you’re between chapters, rediscovering yourself after a high-stress career, or craving clarity without spiralling, you’ll take away concrete tools: breathwork, body awareness, and daily anchor points like yoga and reading.
If you found this helpful, subscribe for more practices you can actually use, share the episode with someone who’s been bracing through change, and leave a review so more listeners can find the show. What part of your body asks for attention first when you feel uncertain?

Why We’re Doing A Live Session
SPEAKER_03So, welcome to subscribers of Balm to the Soul. This is one of our subscriber episodes, and we have Natasha Ramlell. My name's Nike, an embodied integration coach with us. And go and listen to the episode that we did together. I think it's called the Messy Middle, because it's a really good one to listen to before this. But basically, Natasha has really kindly agreed to come on and we're going to do a session so that you can understand what it's all about, what we look at, what Natasha will ask of me, and how it just flows for you as a client. And I know Natasha has got an offer for anybody listening to this episode. So stay tuned for that. Really good value. So welcome, Natasha. Thank you ever so much for coming on again and doing a subscriber episode.
SPEAKER_00My absolute pleasure for my namesake.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Hopefully, this won't get confusing. Hopefully not. Hopefully not. Yeah. So I'm really looking forward to this. So you take the lead, you do what you would do with a client.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah, sounds good. So I'll start off just by asking about your position in the room. Is your chair comfortable? Are you feeling, you know, like a good distance from the screen? Everything feels like a good fit for you in the moment. Yes.
SPEAKER_03And I've got some water in case I need it.
SPEAKER_00Wonderful. Excellent. So just to give you a little bit of preamble, since this is our first time meeting in this way, occasionally you'll see me jotting some notes down. That's just for me to remember because my memory is not the strongest if I don't, you know, keep notes as we're going. Every coach brings their own sort of nuanced way of supporting people. For me, I just want to let you know that I'm not
Coaching Ground Rules And Silence
SPEAKER_00here to tell you what to do. I'm not an expert in your life. You're the expert of your life. And so I'm really not here in a position of judgment at all. Where my specialty lies is recognizing patterns and recognizing the way that survival mechanisms may show up in some of the things that you share. So I really act as a mirror. I can reflect back some things that may be helpful for you to explore your own experience, your own interpretation of your experiences, and anything that comes up in the sessions. I'll also ask some questions to help us get into that exploration. And one thing that is a little bit different in a coaching session is from a regular conversation, is that when we're speaking with others, sometimes we feel this need to fill the silence. It feels a bit awkward. And so if I ask a question, I just want you to know that you can take as much time as you need to really sit with the question so that you don't. So sometimes it does take a little bit more space for us to allow ourselves to just quiet and be still with the question and really feel through the experience of the body what's coming through in a really honest way.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00We're so attached to the stories that we've been carrying for such a long time. So embodied integration coaching is really about can we actually consider these things not from the conceptual stories that we've created about our identity up to this point, but more about what comes through when we drop into inhabiting the present moment as much as we can and really tapping into the sensory experience of our body, the sensations of our emotions, and our intuition, which is always with us when we give it the time and space to come through. Yeah. Okay. Did you have any questions before we get started? I don't. No. Okay. So what I'd love to do is just take a few moments to kind of land in the body. And so you mentioned that your chair is nice and comfortable for you. If you have your feet on the ground, that would be wonderful too. And just starting off by feeling your feet on the floor, that connection to the ground, feeling the back of the chair holding you, supporting you, feeling your sit bones in the chair. And I see that you've already closed
Landing Through Breath And Support
SPEAKER_00your eyes and put your attention inward, which is just perfect. And we just want to put a little bit of focus on a breath. And we don't necessarily need to change anything about the breath. But just by putting our attention there, we may notice that it slows down just ever so slightly. And so on the inhale, we want to really expand the belly, make lots of room and space for that diaphragm to drop down. And on the exhale, exhaling through your nostrils or through your mouth, and just allowing your body to drop a little bit more into itself. And just feeling yourself land in the chair, letting the chair take the weight of you, letting the floor support you in your full body, in the chair, in the space.
SPEAKER_02What does it feel like to be Natasha in this moment? And in order to do so, we need to slow write down. And so just checking in with you, Natasha, how are you feeling in the moment?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's lovely. I was just thinking how I haven't slowed down today. You sort of wake up and your head is already thinking. So it's nice to just take that space.
SPEAKER_00Lovely. Yeah, and it's always nice to recognize how easy it is to come into this stillness with just a little bit of focused attention. It doesn't take too much. And really how that breath is the carrier of our awareness.
SPEAKER_02So that is the the place that we begin.
SPEAKER_00And just really feeling how our inhale we're taking from something beyond us, moving it through our body, and on the exhale, allowing that to exit our body and return to that greater, larger source. And so we can become part of that cycle.
SPEAKER_02And we can really rest in the energy of that.
SPEAKER_00And just noticing if there's anywhere in your body that you're noticing a feeling of calm or stillness. Or maybe it's just neutral, sort of a lack of activation. And it could be a very small part, like the tip of your pinky, or it could be a bigger part, maybe your whole core center. And if you're noticing anywhere in your body like that, I'll just ask you to let me know where you're noticing that. No, where well, if you're noticing somewhere that's tight, that's also beneficial, having that curiosity. We don't need to change the area that's tight, but just noticing, oh, I'm holding a bit of tightness in this area. But I'm also curious if there's anywhere in your body right now that is not tight, sort of the lack of tension, lack of activation, but more neutral or calm or still.
SPEAKER_03To be honest, I feel that throughout. I do feel some tightness around my jaw
Jaw Tightness And The Anxiety Signal
SPEAKER_03and my throat, but I do feel very relaxed.
SPEAKER_00That's good. And if we were to put a little bit of attention on your jaw area, and again, not to change it, not to actively get rid of the tightness, but more just to put our attention there. Almost like your jaw is saying, hello, Natasha. I'm carrying a little bit here. Can I just have your attention for a minute? And just letting yourself focus in on that tightness in the jaw, and really not making a story about it so much, but really about what does the sensation feel like? What do you notice about that sensation in your jaw? Does it have a particular shape to it? Does it call to mind any particular images? Does it have a color or a texture? Is it made of a particular material, the sensation of the energy in your jaw?
SPEAKER_03I had an image of like a long, like a strip all the way, and then it was hooked over something. I don't think it has a particular color, but it's lighter.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03I'm just seeing it as a light, lighter color. But yeah, I just had that, it's almost like it's hooked up somehow. Okay.
SPEAKER_00And are you does it is that tolerable, the tightness in your jaw? Does it feel like you can stay with that for a little bit?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00So let's just take a couple of minutes. And I just want you to really focus on feeling into that jaw, feeling into that shape, the feeling of that image, that item, that hook, and just really allow your attention to say stay with that just for a couple of minutes. And again, we're not trying to force anything, but if anything bubbles up to the surface, if any memories or people or other images or experiences kind of come into your awareness as you're focused on that jaw and the sensation of the feeling in your jaw. We'll just take note of those.
SPEAKER_03I was not a visual, but I suddenly feel like I've gone very sweaty. And I and maybe like my heart is slightly faster. It's almost like an anxiety response. Yeah, okay. Stress response. More than a stress, actually. It's more, it's more an anxiety thing.
SPEAKER_00Are you okay to stay with it for a minute or would you want to? Okay.
SPEAKER_03No, no, that's fine.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00So just noticing that sweat response, the heart is picking up, and that sort of recognition of oh, I think this is what anxiety feels like in my body sometimes. And just maybe asking the body, is there something that would be helpful for me to understand about this anxiety right now?
SPEAKER_03I think it's old anxiety as in maybe stored in that area. Okay. I don't feel like it's a I feel like it's old stuff that wants to be released. And and the colour is more sort of yellowy orange now.
SPEAKER_00And so as you focus in on that yellowy orange sort of shape that's holding your jaw, the hook, noticing the heart, noticing the sweaty sensation in your body. And also noticing if there's a part of you that wants to resist any of that.
SPEAKER_02And continuing to breathe.
SPEAKER_00Just notice if you have the capacity to let all of that be there without needing to brace yourself against it or change it in any way. Just inviting that anxiety into your experience.
SPEAKER_03Slightly, and it feels slightly better. It the tension sort of went up around my mouth as well. But when you talked about just not bracing against it, it felt it feels better.
SPEAKER_00Sometimes we will experience sensation around the jaw and around the mouth when we are holding ourselves back from expressing something that's important, something that's true. Is there anything that you feel you are not expressing fully at this time?
SPEAKER_03I also had the uh visual of light looking down my throat, which is strange. I I don't know, but at the moment I am going through that sort of not sure where I'm going mode. And I feel as if intuitively, I feel as if I haven't found what I want yet, and that it's there, but I just haven't sort of got to that realization. So it might well be that it will involve releasing something, or I don't know what I'm trying to say, but it feels like it's it feels like
Groundlessness After Losing Structure
SPEAKER_03I'm aware of something that I need to be doing, but at yet I haven't quite got the conscious awareness of what that something is. Does that make sense?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you're aware of something that you're meant to be doing, yeah, but you still don't have the conscious awareness of what that is.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I'm curious what emotion you hold about that being in that moment. Do you have feelings about that? Does that feel, for example, does that feel scary? Does that feel does it make you angry? Does it make you frustrated?
SPEAKER_03Um frustration, I think. Yeah. Because I want to I want to know what it is. I want to know where I'm going. Whereas actually when you're in this, it's like you're just well, it's you're unsure. So there's that uncertainty, and you feel like you're just floating somehow, and you haven't got any, you know, purchase on anything. So it's a bit disorientating.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So a little bit of frustration, a little bit of disorientation.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And and I've often I keep thinking I need to be grounded because I feel a bit floaty, but actually I've got I feel like I haven't really got anything to tie me down at the moment. I haven't really got a structure. Yeah, basically.
SPEAKER_00Have you ever had a time in your life before where you didn't feel like you had a structure or an anchor?
SPEAKER_03No, I don't think I I think quite a number of years ago I was made redundant and I had about seven months where I didn't have a structure. And it's a similar yeah, it's just that groundlessness somehow, that sort of not quite knowing what's gonna be what's gonna happen. And and I keep trying to lean into it. I don't need to know where I'm going, I don't need to know what's gonna happen. I just sort of have to trust and see what comes up.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But that that whole process is quite disorientating.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, absolutely. And what it sounds like is that you understand conceptually, this is a time of allowing, this is the time for me to feel into trust and let things unfold. But from the eyebrows down, your body's familiar way of understanding your life and understanding your groundedness has always had a secure anchor, except for that. Seven month bit where you were unsure of what was happening. And so there's this disconnect between I know that this is what is required of me. And yet these feelings of frustration and these feelings of disorientation are still surfacing in my body. And that's really uncomfortable. Is that fair?
SPEAKER_03Yes, that is. And over the last, I mean, I am doing a lot of yoga at the moment, but I have felt incredibly stiff. And I wonder if that's part of it. That's part of the resistance of, you know, don't know what I'm doing. I'm trying to hold on to one structure in a way, even though I know I I've let go of it. But I haven't quite found where I'm going. And I just wonder if that's resistance, my body, you know, reflecting that sort of resistance to let go, although I already have, and that sort of frustration in a way.
SPEAKER_00It does. And if and if that were the case, assuming that that's absolutely what's happening, uh, what do you think would be required of you to release the bracing, release the resistance, release the stiffness within your body?
SPEAKER_03I think when you you were doing that, we were doing that exercise before, and you actually just said if you can feel the resistance and just let go of it, as soon as you said that, I felt it go. So it's almost like I have to just keep reminding myself that you can let go, well, you have let go. So you but you can relax, you can relax, it's fine. You don't need to brace wherever you get to, you get to. Yeah, you know, and there's always there's always a choice, you always have a choice, don't you? So if I get somewhere I don't want to be, I can always change it. But it's that sort of bracing, I I suppose in a way you're bracing for impact, aren't you? Yeah, it's that free fall, and you're just bracing for some sort of impact. But actually, I don't need to do that. I don't need to do that. So I think I just need to give myself permission to not do that.
SPEAKER_00Right. You need to give yourself permission to not resist, not resist, not brace, the truth of what is in every moment for you at the time. Yeah, there's this annoying paradox of being human that the thing that we're resisting the hardest is actually the thing we need to accept and allow in order to be able to move that energy and move beyond it and move past it. So the very fact that you're resisting something is helpful data. The resistance itself is a gift because it's pointing you in the direction of the thing that you are still bracing against. That makes sense. Yes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah. I've also had quite a crunchy neck, you know. So when I turn it crunches, it's actually gone now, um, which is and today was the first time that it didn't crunch actually this morning. So I think I am doing that, and and I am sort of beginning to let go, but it is something that I keep having to remind myself about. It's okay. You know, you don't have to have all the answers, you don't have to know what you're gonna be doing or where you're going. You don't have to be in control, I suppose.
SPEAKER_00You don't have to be in control, you don't have to know where you're going. No. So what I'd love to do for a moment is to come back into the body. We had started kind of dropping into that place where you were noticing, oh, I'm feeling really lovely and grounded in my body. I'm noticing all throughout my body that it's quite calm and still. And I'd love to just come back into that place of support within your own system, within your own body. And so just once again coming back to the breath and feeling your body in the chair, once again dropping in to all
Breath Restriction And Acceptance Practice
SPEAKER_00the sensations maybe checking in with the jaw to notice if anything has shifted in the tightness of your jaw, and it's perfectly fine if it has or hasn't. But it's just a matter of being curious and noticing.
SPEAKER_03I'm very conscious of my breath.
SPEAKER_02It's not that it's uncomfortable to breathe, but I do think there's a tightness to the breath.
SPEAKER_00Why don't we stay with that for a minute and just with that inhale, really putting your attention on your lower belly and really allowing the belly to expand, so kind of puffing out forward and taking up space on the inhale. And when I exhale, just yeah.
SPEAKER_03When I try and do that, it's quite an effort to do that. It feels like my inhale is it's quite difficult to expand it.
SPEAKER_00Okay and if you s if you try not to expand it, are you finding that that's easier? Yeah. All right, let's stay there. Let's stay there. Oftentimes, what will happen if we have something that wants to surface, but it doesn't really feel comfortable or safe for us to look at shortening the breath, restricting of the breath will keep us from feeling that fully. Not necessarily needing it to do anything, but just focusing on your lower belly as you inhale, and on the exhale, just that feeling of releasing, dropping in, feeling yourself more fully in the chair in the room with your feet on the floor.
SPEAKER_02And how are you doing, Natasha?
SPEAKER_00Are you feeling okay in the moment?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I'm getting a few visuals. I don't know what they mean. What's coming through? I was seeing like a valve, you know, moving up and down as I breathed. I don't know whether that means something's locked away very tightly or and I was also kept seeing a picture of the lungs.
SPEAKER_00It's the whole mechanism. Yeah. Yeah. And you know, when you shared about feeling noticing that sensation of anxiety, that really tracks because all of that mechanism is going to be connected to experiences of anxiety and breath and restriction. And I wonder if we can take that same concept of not restricting and not resisting and allow whatever the breath mechanism is in this moment to just be as it is, just appreciate its own functioning in the present moment without needing it to be different. This is what it feels like to be me today. This is where my breath is today, this is how my mechanism is functioning today.
SPEAKER_02And it's perfectly okay. So just accepting, really.
SPEAKER_03That's sort of that's a nice way of of doing it because it sort of takes any pressure off you. Pressure to sort of change anything or get a ha moment, or it just is as a moment.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, beautiful. It just is.
SPEAKER_00And my practice is accepting myself as it just is in this moment.
SPEAKER_03And that feels really comfortable, actually. Because there's nothing to get right or improve or change right at this moment.
SPEAKER_00And I'm wondering also if you have a memory or a visual, maybe even a fantasy doesn't necessarily need to be a real memory of a real place or a real moment, but something that you have in your imagination that reminds you of being in a moment where you are completely allowing and not resisting the moment, maybe because it feels really good generally. You know, some examples that have worked for me, sort of imagining myself floating in a body of water where the water is completely holding me, and I feel totally supported and totally safe, but I'm not needing to effort in any possible way. Other things that have connected me to that feeling. Remembering holding my children when they were very young. So that when they're sleeping and they're warm in your arms, and you can feel their heartbeat, and you might be swaying a little bit, and just that moment, particularly if it's outside and you can feel a light breeze on your face. Those are just a couple of examples that I've used, but yours might look completely different. It could be a memory of a time or a place, maybe an animal. And so if you have anything like that, and you're able to bring that into the moment, into your awareness. You can also just keep it in your own private imagining.
Floating Visualisation And Self-Soothing Touch
SPEAKER_03Well, I can do it's I have a meditation to connect to soul energy, but the way I see it is just floating through the universe.
SPEAKER_00Oh, beautiful.
SPEAKER_03And then there are sort of streams of colored light which represent different souls, and you can sort of float through them or with them. Yeah, yeah, no gravity, you're just yeah, just flowing.
SPEAKER_00Beautiful. I love it. So just bringing that into your experience with your mind's eye and fully embrace it with all of your senses. So not only the colors that you're seeing, but also the sound of that space, the feeling on your skin, on your on your body, or maybe the lack of feeling of a body. Sort of that floating sensation that you mentioned. Noticing if there's any taste in that moment, noticing if there's any sound that's coming through.
SPEAKER_02Any smells.
SPEAKER_00And I'll also invite you to bring in the aspect of self-touch. So we're just using our hands as a kinesthetic anchor to really ground into the experience that you're creating with your imagination or your mind or your spirit, whichever way you understand it to be coming through. For me, I like to put one hand on my chest, one hand on my belly. But some people prefer self-hug, some people like to put their hands on the back of their neck, some people like two hands on the chest, some people just like the feeling of their hands on their thighs. So you can really play with the one that feels good to you. And you can also play with the firmness, how much pressure, and just find that perfect Goldilocks amount of pressure that feels like you are supporting yourself in the moment. Like you're telling yourself, Natasha, I've got you in this moment.
SPEAKER_02In this moment, you're safe. In this moment, there's nothing to resist. In this moment, you can feel safe to just be just checking in. How are you doing? How are you feeling?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I have I feel like I had all of sort of my scalp was tingling and lots of faces going visually, and quite a hard pressure on my chest, but I feel that that's I don't know, that feels quite comforting.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Like a weighted blanket. And so as you feel into that, that feeling of comfort within your own body. You know, you mentioned that you are aware of something that you're meant to be doing, but you're not sure what the thing is yet. And how do you feel about that when you're here in this experience?
SPEAKER_03I do feel as if there's something that I have to let go of first. I feel like there's something trying to be released. And it almost feels like my body has been so tightly wound for so long that I haven't been able to release it, but that it is it is coming up, that it feels like it's coming up. I can't explain that other than it just feels like it's coming up, and I feel like I will get clarity when that sort of layer has gone or that layer has been absorbed somehow. And I do I feel like it's it is like around my breath, which I think I've just shallow breathed. That's been my norm for so long because you know I think in my job I was often in fight or flight because it's high stress, you know. So I don't I think I've breathed quite shallow it shallowly. Is that a word? Quite shallow. And that became my norm, which is why I find it quite uncomfortable to breathe any deeper at the moment. Yeah. But I I think I just have to be, I think it will release whatever it is, what needs to come up. And I feel like it's just a process, it's something that I just have to let happen in its in its own sort of time, if you like.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So I wonder if you feel into your body and just pose the question is there anything in this moment that wants to be released? And just notice if there's anywhere in your body that you notice activation or tightness, or if an image or a thought or an emotion comes through, because it could also be around a belief.
SPEAKER_02And just making a bit of space for that.
SPEAKER_03I think I have anxiety about it being released because I'm back to feeling a bit sweaty. So it's like my body goes into anxiety mode at the thought of releasing it. And whether what I am releasing is anxiety, so I'm feeling it, or whether it's my body's sort of knee jerk response to, well, I can't release this, so I'm gonna get anxious about it. I'm not sure. But there's definitely that feeling again of of being sweaty and And I think in my solar plexus area. That's where I can feel it, definitely.
SPEAKER_00Would you be open to us trying something?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, around that.
Inferiority Belief And Life Purpose
SPEAKER_00So I'm just gonna give you a half of a sentence, and I want you to feel into your body and let yourself complete the sentence. Okay. Just take a minute to feel into that place where you're answering from the impulse of the body rather than from the thinking mind.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I want to be aware of the thing that I'm supposed to be doing so I can avoid being stuck.
SPEAKER_00And I want to avoid being stuck because I would like to stop feeling lost.
SPEAKER_02I can see that that should show something. I want to avoid feeling lost because it's bad of me rather to feel lost because that means I am inferior.
SPEAKER_00But I want you to just repeat the sentence three times and you can say this out loud or you can say it in your head, whatever whatever feels better. I need to know the thing I'm meant to be doing so that I don't feel inferior.
SPEAKER_03I need to know the thing that I'm meant to be doing so I don't feel inferior. I need to know the thing that I'm meant to be doing so I don't feel inferior. I need to know the thing that I'm meant to be doing so I don't feel inferior.
SPEAKER_00Just notice what comes up in the body. Does anything activate within you?
SPEAKER_03My my neck started hurting.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03And also I was getting visuals of a valve again.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Are you okay to stay with the neck in the valve for a moment?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Let's just put our attention on that for a minute. When you say I need to know what it is that I'm meant to be doing so that I don't feel inferior.
SPEAKER_02Inferior to who?
SPEAKER_03I don't know, really, to everybody else. I feel like I was trying to find the right word, but I feel like I should know what I should be doing by now. So I feel like if I don't know what I'm doing, then I've missed something along the way. So that makes me maybe feel inferior, or it just makes I've missed the point somewhere.
SPEAKER_02The point of what? Of life, life purpose, I think.
SPEAKER_00And when you feel into the version of you floating in space and connecting to the colors and that lack of resistance and the acceptance of being Natasha in the present moment exactly as she is, what is your purpose?
SPEAKER_02And to just be.
SPEAKER_03Doing yoga flows really helps me to release energetically what I don't need to hold on to. And I've had a few experiences of that. So I know that it's beneficial for me, but you know, sometimes I think I have to do that again.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_03But I always feel better afterwards.
Anchors For Flow With Yoga And Reading
SPEAKER_00So you've got that in the morning.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And there's the potential of rather than okay, I have to do my one hour of yoga exactly the same way every day, it's like I'm gonna put yoga in the morning. And if it's only a 10-minute modified version that day, that's fine. But I I like to start my day with yoga. I don't have to start my day with yoga. I like to start my day with yoga. I choose to start my day with yoga. And is there anything midday or in the evening?
SPEAKER_03I do like to do a bit of reading. Something that I could never do when I was working, I stopped reading novels and things. I think I just couldn't hold the story in my head. You know, there was too much else going on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I rediscovered novels as soon as I sort of left work. So I'd like to read a chapter or read a couple of chapters.
SPEAKER_00In the evening?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00In the evening, yeah. So the reason I'm asking about that is because sometimes we have, you know, what you're what you've shared is you sort of overindex the masculine energy of moving through your days. And because of your previous career, you had a very masculine structure in place. And now you're moving into this more feminine flowing. The the thing about the feminine flow is that sometimes if it doesn't have a container, we lose track of ourselves and we kind of the energy gets lost, and we feel like we don't have enough of an anchor, and that can lead to some real feelings of disorientation and feelings of lost and fear can come up as well. And so sometimes just choosing a few anchor points to create that masculine structure. So, for example, I'm gonna begin my day with yoga because I love the way it makes me feel. I'm gonna end my day with reading because that's something I have loved coming back to that I didn't have time for before. And between yoga and reading, I get to be spontaneously in my flow. But I'm going to structure my days with these two pieces so that it I I know where I'm beginning and I know where I'm gonna get to at the end of the day. So my flow has space, but it's held within a structure, if that makes sense.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, thank you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so maybe for this week, this week coming ahead, just sort of creating that container for yourself and experimenting. And then, you know, by the end of the week, you'll know if you need to tweak something, if you maybe want to add in a midday anchor to give yourself two, you know, spaces of flow, or or you want to change something around, or just you know, giving yourself that space, often more self-understanding will have the space to come through and help you sort of define what that week is going to look like as you move forward. And again, you're still allowing your purpose to come through, which is the learning and the teaching and the experiencing and exploring and being.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. That's brilliant. Thank you.
SPEAKER_00So before we complete for today, I'm just curious if there is one thing that feels really important for you to remember to remember from our session today.
SPEAKER_03Just to be, I think. Just to allow that. And and you giving me those anchor points is very helpful. But I just feel that with that sort of spontaneous flow will come ideas and clarity and and so yeah, and just being patient with it. You know, you can't immediately,
Key Takeaways Closing Poem And Offer
SPEAKER_03it's something that you have to sort of live into. And just enjoy this time as well. Right. Yeah. Rather than feeling I've got to know what I'm doing, that creates its own tension. It's yeah, you know, not everybody can retire and just have that privilege of having space to sort of so appreciate, I appreciate that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And so just finishing our session, just checking in with your body and noticing where that level of anxiety is sitting as we complete today.
SPEAKER_02Just checking in with the jaw, checking in with the neck, checking in with the core center.
SPEAKER_03They all feel very relaxed, especially my jaw. I can't see, I don't feel anything around my jaw.
SPEAKER_00At the moment, so maybe we'll just end by thanking the body. You're doing sacred work. Let your joy be gentle and your pain be honest. Let the spiral of healing carry you down, in, and up again. You are not behind, you are becoming. Trust your timing, trust yourself. Thank you, Natasha.
SPEAKER_03Thank you. Thank you. That was lovely. Thank you. Yes, that was great. Thank you very much. That was very eye-opening to be able to in a way, you're talking to your body, aren't you? And you're you're listening more to the point to your body. And I do that to a certain extent. So if I have a an ape or something, I will tune in and think, what's that about? But perhaps I don't go deep enough. Perhaps it's quite superficial when I check in.
SPEAKER_00Well, I think I think there's something that happens in partnership, in witnessing as well, that we're able to access parts of ourselves that we're sort of we have blinders on to an extent because we know ourselves. We have a lot of self-awareness. We've been telling ourselves the same stories, interpreting our lives and our experience the same way for a really long time. We're very familiar with ourselves. And so having another witness sort of reflecting back things that we may not quite notice anymore and may not see in that particular way, uh, can be really helpful to just expand our own exploration. Yes. But I think what you're doing individually to tune in is is beautiful and important and definitely a huge step in your own self-understanding.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Yeah. I think that's something that I try and talk to people about. And I think when I meet or everybody that I meet along my way, we all sort of are doing very similar things, but from very slightly different, so different sort of perspectives, different angles. So it's actually nice to try different things so that I also can get things from different perspectives. If you're sort of stuck in your own modality, and you know, you don't always see everything at 360 degrees, if that makes sense.
SPEAKER_00So sometimes that's a beautiful way to put it because I think there's there's so much benefit in all of the different ways that we approach healing. And there's not one right way or one wrong way, but it's kind of like figuring out your own cocktail.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And your own cocktail will also change over your lifetime. Like there are different things that are perfectly suited to your experience at a moment, and then you know, fast forward a decade and you need something different. And just being open to what is it that's actually helping me to increase my self-awareness and lead me towards self-love and compassion. And that's what I'm going to lean into. And again, how do we know that if we don't, you know, feel into it and experience it firsthand? So yeah, yeah, I think what you're saying is really important.
SPEAKER_03Well, thank you, Natasha. It's been it's been very enlightening. Very, very helpful. And I hope the subscribers enjoyed the process and can now feel or understand what it is that you offer. Um, and like we talked about before, you have an offer for them, and I'll put that in the show notes for anybody who's interested.
SPEAKER_00Um, it's just an introductory session like the one that we've done, but with a really nice, generous discount for your listeners so that they can feel that there are no barriers to trying and experience for themselves.
SPEAKER_03That's lovely. Thank you. That's what the subscriber episodes are all about, so that people can embody the wisdom from the podcast, basically. So to have an embodied embodied integration session is perfect. So thank you. Thank you so much. And I'm gonna stop the recording there.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, my pleasure. No problem.
